Wilderness Skills
For millions of years, humans lived in direct contact with the natural
world. Our existence as a species depended on our ability to understand
the ebb and flow of life. Times have changed and our priorities have
shifted however, the human body and mind is still intuitively connected
to this process today.
Through the study of ancient and ancestral cultures and the process of
creating a primitive living situation, Wilderness curriculum is
cultivated by understanding basic human needs in the natural
environment. Shelter, fire, food & water necessities are the corner
stones for drawing students into the natural world and helping them to
gain a better understanding of the diversity of species, multiple
resources, and ecological indicators that directly effect our world
today.
