Meet the Staff: Clinical Supervisor

Elizabeth Bianchi.jpg

Elizabeth Bianchi, also know as Ebiz has been working as the clinical supervisor at Kindle Farm for the last 5 years.  Elizabeth has had a variety of different jobs in the social work field prior to Kindle Farm.  She has worked running a residential program for younger children at the Brattleboro Retreat, helping run summer therapeutic camps and most recently she  worked at HCRS as an Area Manager of school services. In that position at HCRS she supervised school based clinicians and behavior interventionists throughout the HCRS catchment area. Elizabeth shared that coming to Kindle Farm was such a great complement to her past experiences.

I was excited to be more active in my work and be able to work more directly with students, staff and families.  I felt like with my past experiences I could also help develop a string clinical team in a very collaborative way.  However, it has been even more than that.  I have had the opportunity to really learn and grow personally and professionally which has been such an amazing experience. Also on a daily basis  I have been so struck by how incredible the staff at Kindle Farm are and how much I have been able to learn and grow with them. "

In the last 5 years the clinical team has grown to include 2 clinicians and intern.  The work that Elizabeth and Kindle farm have been part of has been around developing an in house team to support the students and families at Kindle Farm, along with helping the families and student with resources in their communities, and education around crisis, trauma informed care, and other stressors impacting their day to day lives.  Ebiz is also very involved and active in the culture of Kindle Farm from snowboarding or biking and hiking with different groups.

When not working at Kindle Farm Ebiz is extremely active- she has run marathons, ultra running relays and a few Ironman events.  This energy she has also brought to kindle farm with some of her co workers and last year competing together in a Spartan Race at Fenway park.  Last month she did a 24 hour relay race in Vermont and raised money for Kindle Farm. Although this may be one of her tools for self care she loves participating in these activities with her co-workers and teams as a way to connect.
