What is the Transition Program at Kindle Farm?

Transitioning from school to work or from secondary to post-secondary education is often difficult and confusing for young people.

Our Transition Program at Kindle Farm gives students an opportunity to begin thinking and exploring what life during and after high school might look like.  We focus on life skills and work ethics that specifically target success in adult life.  These skills are typically not taught as part of the general education curriculum but are an integral part of building awareness and self-esteem for their future.

We kicked off our school year in Transition class, dissecting four areas of “oneself” - Core values, character, self-awareness, and team building.  Students were challenged with fun and exciting activities to explore their personal core values and how core values define their character. Raising self-awareness helped students to understand the importance of positive relationships better socially, professionally, and in a team environment.
